Intake Policy
All intake is by appointment only.
To check available space, you can call (417) 592-2512 during our normal operating hours (Wednesday-Friday 12pm-7pm, Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm).
We accept animals from only Newton and McDonald counties (Missouri).
We do NOT accept injured animals. We do not have a veterinarian on staff and would not be able to provide adequate care.
We do NOT accept aggressive behaviors.
We only take dogs and cats - if you have found a wild animal in need, we recommend reaching out to the Missouri Department of Conservation (if you are in MO). Their Springfield office's number is (417) 895-6880.
All animals will be assessed during an intake appointment, and the Animal Care Coordinator will decide if the animal is approved.

A surrender fee will be charged for every animal brought into our care. This fee helps cover the cost of their veterinary care.
